National Night Out

National Night Out (NNO) is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.” The main goal of NNO is to “enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.” National Night Out is typically held annually on the first Tuesday in August in the evening hours from 6-10pm.

MOPD Background

In 2017 the Mount Olive Township Police Department registered with the NNO organization for the first time and committed to holding its first ever NNO event. The event had a tremendous initial turnout and has become a great success annually. This Police-Community Partnership event has repeated each year since (Except 2020 - COVID-19) and its popularity, positivity and attendance has grown too!
