The Internal Affairs Unit Supervisor is currently Lieutenant Dave Turner.
- All citizen complaints will be documented and investigated.
- Complaints will be accepted in person, over the phone, in writing or through a third party.
- Anonymous complaints, or from persons who wish their names to be in confidence, will be accepted for investigation.
- Complaints will be accepted any time.
- Complaints will be accepted regardless of the age, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or immigration status of the complaining party.
The Internal Affairs Unit shall strive to conduct a thorough and objective investigation respecting the rights of the subject, any other law enforcement officer or employee, and all members of the public. Accordingly, any supervisor or Detective who may be called upon to conduct an internal investigation must be thoroughly familiar with the department's Internal Affairs policy. This policy has been developed in accordance with the revised New Jersey Attorney General Guidelines on Internal Affairs.
