Marriage licenses, birth, death, and marriage certificates and vital records.
The Vital Statistics Division provides applications for a Marriage License, a Certified copy of a Birth, Death, or Marriage.
Certified copies of Birth, Marriage, Civil Union, and Death are obtained in the municipality where the event occurred. Mt Olive charges $20.00 per copy for a Certified Copy which can be obtained in person or thru the mail sorry no credit cards accepted, please visit our Forms page.
Getting married...Congratulations! If you reside in Mt Olive Twp or live outside of NJ and the ceremony will be in Mt Olive Twp please call 862-419-4131 to make an appointment. Apply a minimum of a week before your ceremony date due to the 72-hour waiting period or up to 6 months before. Please fill out the application prior to your appointment but DO NOT sign it. You, your fiancée and one witness 18 years or older must bring valid (not expired) driver’s license or passport to the appointment as identification. Only one applicant must prove residency in Mt Olive Twp either on driver's license, lease, car registration, current bank statement or current utility bill. If a biological parent is unknown, the State requires you to bring your birth certificate to the appointment. No other documents are required and the fee to apply is $28.00 payable to Mt Olive Twp by check, cash or money order sorry NO credit cards. Marriage License Application
Appointments are taken Mon-Fri between 9:00 am-3:45 pm and take approximately 15 minutes.
*REMARRIAGE please bring a certified copy of your marriage and enter info in box 6 on application.
**Out of state applicants apply for a marriage license in the municipality where the ceremony is taking place.
