  • Street and town where your pet was last seen
  • Date your pet went missing
  • Pet name, breed, sex, age and description. Include whether they are wearing a collar, have an ear-tip or any other unusual characteristics that could be helpful in identifying your pet in the event it is brought to the kenneling facility.

Found Pets

If you have found a pet, please contact the Health Department at (973) 691-0900 Ext. 7330 or Frank Nelson, ACO/HELO at Ext. 7334. If after hours or during the weekend, please call the Township of Mount Olive Police Department’s non-emergency number at (973) 691-0850. They will contact an Animal Control Officer.

Pet Reclaims

All impounded/found animals (if not able to be returned home) will be relocated to Common Sense For Animals, located at 2420 NJ-57, Stewartsville, NJ 08886. Please do not contact the facility directly as animals will not be released to their owners until prior approval is given by the Township Animal Control Officer. Please contact the Health Department at (973) 691-0900 Ext. 7330 or Frank Nelson, ACO/HELO at Ext. 7334, regarding the reclaiming of your pet.

*Pet Owner Pro-Tips*

  • License and microchip your pet. If the Animal Control Officer picks up a licensed/microchipped pet, their owners will be immediately contacted for reclaiming rather than being transported to the kenneling facility.
  • Utilize the power of social media. Follow the Mount Olive Township Animal Control Facebook Page for posting regarding missing pets!
