The Mount Olive Senior Center, located at 204 Flanders-Drakestown Road, Budd Lake, NJ 07828, is once again available for party and event rentals. After a period of discontinued rentals, the Township is pleased to reopen the facility for private events. The Senior Center offers a welcoming and convenient space for gatherings, celebrations, and special occasions. Please note: The Senior Center is only available on Saturdays and Sundays (No weeknight reservations).
Rental Fees
- The standard rental fee for the Mount Olive Senior Center is $500 for four (4) hours.
- Each additional hour beyond the initial four hours is $150 per hour.
- Full payment and a signed contract is required to officially reserve your date and time.
- A mandatory $75 cleaning fee will be added to all rentals. (This fee covers a staff member who will clean the tables, bathroom, and the floor after your event concludes.)
Setup and Cleanup Time
- Rental times must include all setup and cleanup activities. If additional time is needed before or after your scheduled event for decorating, setup, or cleanup, it will be billed at a rate of $150 per hour. Please plan your reservation accordingly to ensure adequate time for your event and any preparations or post-event tasks.
General Event Policies
- Alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited.
- The renter must remain in attendance for the duration of the event and is responsible for the conduct of all attendees.
- Maximum capacity of the facility is 200 people.
- No animals are permitted inside the building.
- Smoking and vaping is strictly prohibited inside the Senior Center and on the bocce courts. Failure to comply will result in an immediate end to the rental without refund.
Kitchen Use
- The Kitchen will be locked and renters may not use the refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, or anything else in the kitchen, as this area is leased by the County.
Refund Policy for the Senior Center
- Please note that rental fees are non-refundable in the event a renter cancels their reservation. However, a credit may be issued to allow the renter to reschedule the event for a future date, subject to availability. If the Township of Mount Olive cancels an event for any reason, a full refund will be issued by check within 4 to 6 weeks of notification.
