OBJECTIVE: Mount Olive Township (Morris County) is seeking a full-time, experienced Fire Marshal. The key responsibilities are as follows: administer and enforce the New Jersey Uniform Fire Code and municipal ordinances, conduct inspections to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, investigate fire incidents, issue permits and violations, supervise a staff of six (6) personnel, develop fire safety education and outreach, maintain accurate records, reports and provide updates and recommendations as needed. 

MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS: LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION: Possession of a current, valid Fire Official/Fire Inspector certification issued by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs. Preferred five (5) years of experience as a firefighter and/or Fire Inspector, strong knowledge of NJUFC, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a valid NJ driver’s license. Experience with GovPilot is preferred.
