Mount Olive Township Awarded Bronze Level Certification for Sustainable Jersey

Sustainable Jersey representatives announced that Mount Olive Township has met the rigorous requirements to achieve Sustainable Jersey certification.  Mount Olive Township was approved for 15 actions in 9 categories for a total of 165 points and will be awarded the Bronze Level Certification at the Sustainable Jersey Virtual Awards Luncheon on November 14th, 2023, in Atlantic City. 

“I’d like to congratulate all that are involved with our Sustainable Jersey Certification,” said Council President Joe Nicastro, “With programs such as well-testing kits, cleaning up the trails, our community gardens to Smoke-Free and Tobacco-Free Public Places to name a few, keeping our township healthy and its natural resources available for generations to come is a priority”. 

About Sustainable JerseySustainable Jersey provides tools, training and financial incentives to support communities as they pursue sustainability programs. Sustainable Jersey participants (municipalities and schools) have successfully implemented and documented over 18,500 sustainability actions. Over $5.9 million in grants has been provided by Sustainable Jersey to towns, school districts and schools for community-based projects that create healthy and sustainable communities in New Jersey.
