The Flanders-Netcong Road closure is scheduled to go into effect Wednesday July 26th, 2023 at 7:00 pm.  (Please disregard previous earlier date). Expected duration is approximately three weeks (weather permitting).

Below is a map of the detour plan.

Commuters traveling north on Route 206 will be directed up Route 206 north to the intersection of Drakesdale Road to the signalized intersection where a left at Drakesdale is allowed.

Commuters traveling on Main Street toward Route 206 will be directed to turn right on Route 206 north to the intersection of Drakesdale Road to the signalized intersection where a left at Drakesdale is allowed.

Commuters traveling south on Route 206 will be directed to turn right at the Drakesdale Road signalized intersection.

Commuters on Flanders-Drakestown Road, Remar Street, Corey Road and Flanders Road will be directed to make a left on Flanders-Netcong Road and right on Drakesdale Road toward the Route 206 intersection.

Commuters on Carlton Road will be directed to make a right on Flanders-Netcong Road and right on Drakesdale road toward the Route 206 intersection.

Commuters leaving Overlook at Flanders, Chestnut Way and Patricia Drive will be directed to make a right on Route 206 north to the intersection of Drakesdale Road to the signalized intersection where a left at Drakesdale is allowed.

In addition to the approved detour plan, the Township has temporarily re-opened Flanders-Netcong Road to access Gold Mine Road to help alleviate stacking on Drakesdale Road.  At the Drakesdale Road/Flanders-Netcong forked intersection, residents will be allowed to travel down Flanders-Netcong Road toward Gold Mine Road, Link Road and the signalized intersection at International Drive South/Route 206.

Thank you for your cooperation, plan accordingly and please travel safe.
