Objective:

The Township of Mount Olive is seeking to hire a full-time collector responsible for tax, water, sewer and assessment collection. The current collector is retiring on 10/31/23. The candidate must possess a valid CTC Certificate issued by the NJ Department of Community Affairs with a minimum of 5 years’ municipal experience, preferable in a comparable size municipality. The Township has approximately 8,300 taxable line items, 3,300 water accounts, 4,000 sewer accounts and 48 special assessment accounts.  The tax levy is approximately $110 million. Duties include, but are not limited to, billing, collection, enforcement, and reporting as well as consultation with the CFO and Municipal Auditor to maintain proper accounting and reporting procedures.  Excellent computer and customer service skills are required.  The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, dependable and flexible.  Knowledge of Edmunds MCSJ software is preferred.
