Sergeant Michael Russell

Sergeant Russell was hired on December 26, 2005 and is a graduate of the Morris County Police Academy’s 66th Basic Class. Sgt. Russell graduated Mt. Olive High School in 2000, and was Mr. Mount Olive in 1999. He continued his education by receiving an Associate of Science Degree from the County College of Morris and also received additional credits from Rutgers University. Russell is the L.E.A.D. (Law Enforcement Against Drugs) Program Director / Instructor for the Mt. Olive School District as well as a certified School Resource Officer. Russell is a Field Training Officer for the department, a TAC Officer, and a certified OC Spray Instructor. Russell has received the department's Life Saving Award, Honorable Service Award, Grand Cordon Award, Program Development Award and Educational Achievement Award. He is currently assigned to the Support Services Division.
