Officer Matthew Anderson

Anderson is a 2008 graduate of Roxbury High School. Following high school, he attended The County College of Morris; receiving an Associate in Science Degree. He then attended Montclair State University and graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Justice Studies with a Minor in Sociology. Officer Anderson graduated Magna Cum Laude. In December of 2013, Officer Anderson joined the Roxbury Company 1 First Aid Squad where he attended training and received his certification as an Emergency Medical Technician from Atlantic Health. He continues to volunteer with Roxbury First Aid. In January of 2016, he was accepted as an Alternate Route Candidate at the Essex County Police Academy and graduated the police academy in June. In January of 2017, he was hired by the Morris County Sherriff’s Office Bureau of Law Enforcement. On July 1, 2017 he was hired by the Mount Olive Police Department, where he is presently assigned to the Patrol Division.
