Lieutenant David Turner

Lieutenant Turner joined the department in December 1999 and worked in the Patrol Division until his assignment to the Investigations Division in 2011. He returned to the Patrol Division in 2014 where he served as a corporal until his promotion to sergeant in September 2014. In May 2017 Turner returned to the Investigations Division. In February of 2023 Turner was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and assigned to the Patrol Division.  He is currently in command of the Investigations Division.  Lt. Turner is a member of the department’s Honor Guard. Lieutenant Turner's departmental awards include two Life Saving Awards, an Exceptional Duty Award, a Meritorious Service Award, eleven Honorable Service Awards, five Grand Cordons, a Military Service Award, a Physical Fitness Award and an Educational Achievement Award. He is a graduate of Penn State University and holds a B.S. in Finance. He served in the military as a sergeant in the U.S. Army Rangers and is a veteran of Desert Storm. He is also a past President of the Mount Olive Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #122.
