Job Opening: Public Health Nurse

Position Type: Part-Time

Salary Range: $30.00 - $35.00/hr

Description: Mount Olive Township (Morris County) is seeking a part time, experienced Public Health Nurse (work location will be in Wharton, NJ). The Public Health Nurse works under general supervision to promote and protect the health of populations through the performance of core public health functions and the delivery of essential public health services. Responsibilities include communicable disease investigation and reporting, immunization audits, administration of vaccines with standing orders, well child services, adult health screening programs and follow up, public health emergency preparedness and response, and related work in collaboration with the Health Officer and staff as required. Excellent communication skills a must. Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Public Health Nursing Science, a NJ State Board of Nursing License, and a valid NJ driver's license. Objective: The Township of Mount Olive Health Department is seeking a full-time Registered Environmental Health Specialist (R.E.H.S.) to conduct inspections, field work, and educational outreach pursuant to state and local codes, and other related tasks as required. Examples of work will include, but are not limited to; fieldwork, inspections and enforcement relating to retail food establishments, body art facilities, public recreational bathing facilities, massage & bodywork therapy facilities, youth camp facilities, multi-dwelling complexes, potable water systems, onsite sewage disposal systems, childhood lead poisonings, public health nuisances, property maintenance complaints, and communicable disease control.

Candidates must have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and hold both a valid N.J. R.E.H.S. and N.J. driver's license. Applicant must possess excellent writing and communication skills and will be required to learn to utilize various information systems used by this office.

Job Opening: Senior Transportation Driver

Position Type: Part-Time "On-Call"

Salary: $13.50 per hour

Objective: Qualified applicant will be responsible for transport of seniors as needed in order to carry-out senior transportation needs; transports seniors and individuals with disabilities to medical appointments, and also deliver meals on wheels to shut in residents. Driver will submit daily mileage reports. Driver apprises supervisor of repairs needed on any of senior transportation vehicles. Driver will use a cellular phone to transmit communications related to emergency call situations, as well as the use of a 2-way communication system.

Must possess a valid New Jersey Driver's License, knowledge of the proper methods of operating a vehicle; knowledge of highway safety principles and state and municipal laws; ability to make periodic safety check of the vehicle being operated; knowledge of common indications of their malfunctions and proper method of preventative maintenance.
