Property Tax Grace Period Extension – May 15, 2020

In accordance with Executive Order 130 regarding a grace period for property tax payments, the Mayor and Council find it in the best interest of the Township and its residents to institute an extended grace period to May 15, 2020 to provide relief to property owners who may be incurring a financial hardship during the COVID-19 emergency.  The tax due date, which is set by State statute, is still May 1, 2020, however, interest and penalties will not be charged on tax payments until after May 15, 2020.  Second quarter tax payments that have already been paid are non-refundable. 
 
For your convenience, you have three options of making your payments:  drop box, mail or on-line. 
 
The drop box is located in the Municipal Building parking lot near the Senior Center.  Checks are picked up daily at 8:30 am. 
 
Checks can be mailed to the address below made payable to the “Mount Olive Township Tax Collector”.
