Volunteer Coaches Certification
Mt. Olive Recreation policy requires all volunteer coaches to obtain coaches safety certification. There are several choices of programs available, please check with your sports association. All coaches are required to provide their Sport Association with a copy of their certification.
- Rutgers Coaches Safety Course is a lifetime coaches' certification course. Visit website for online courses.
- National Alliance for Youth Sports offers online coaches' certifications and sports specific clinics.
Concussion Training
The CDC offers concussion training online for all youth coaches. This program is known as "HEADS UP", and is offered free of charge.
Background Checks
Mt. Olive Recreation policy requires all volunteer coaches to be background checked every three years. Please review the DIRECTIONS on how to go through the Background Check process, and obtain the necessary paperwork in order to complete this check.
